Now we are getting constructive. Wouldn't it have been much easier just
to send e-mail to JIK saying: "Have you ever considered that MM/DD/YY
dates may cause problems to our international readers?" and JIK may have
replied "by golly, you're right. Let's fix that by using the roman date
XII/2/93 which may be more clear". Or something to the point (you get the
idea).
