The scripts (and even mailing list for that stuff) still exist, as
well as the collecting aliases. Unfortunately due to the "very large"
success of the collection, I did give up: it was not worth anymore the
effort.

Many people were interested in having such statistics, but only 2 sites
were participating (someone in the Netherlands sent regularly his data
-- again thanks -- and it was merged with my archive's). And that's it.
No other site having *.answers archives seemed ready (or willing to?)
send data.

Perhaps was this to early last year. I'm still open to seeing how
people are interested yet, ie how many want statistics, and how many
will send data to have significative results.

I still confirm (as it was last year) that on my archive, most access
to FAQs is thru Gopher. It's regularly raising whereas FTP is stable
if not going down.
