Any statement about what is and is not standard Usenet usage is
completely without legal basis, as there are no precedents. As for
ludicrous, try THIS on for size:

I understand all of it. What I'd like to know is when you're going to
send a letter to UUNet, PSI, NetCom, Best Internet Comm, and the
hundreds (thousands?) of other companies that sell your FAQ for profit
everytime you post it.

It is no more Walnut Creeks responsibility to come to you than it is
UUNet's, or Sterling Software's.

Is anyone seriously considering requiring that UUNet obtain permission
to copy their FAQ every time UUNet want to send a copy to one of their
paying customers? If so, please keep us informed of your progress.
