RFC 1036 doesn't really address this issue very carefully.
The draft son-of-1036 spec recommends (requires?) words
separated by commas and spaces, i.e. "Keywords: faq, intro,
admin".
> What newsreaders allow you to select articles based on the
> Keywords header?
Any newsreader that allows you to select articles based on
arbitrary pattern matching in the header will permit you to
do this. I don't think any commonly-used newsreaders have a
special command to search the Keywords header, however.
Because there have never been any widely-used or
-recommended guidelines for the format of the Keywords
header, they've essentially become noise in most places. I
put them to great use in rec.arts.erotica, but since that's
a moderated group I can get away with it.
