Hi,

well, the only thing I don't like about FAQs on CDROM is that most
readers will likely not have a means to contribute to the FAQs that
interest them, nor even get the idea to do so.
While my FAQ is not among those on the Walnut Creek Internet Info CDROM,
I have been asked for permission to transfer my FAQ to other networks
and media (print), and have always granted it on the condition that they
ensure that comments have a way of reaching me. I'm just imagining
someone at Walnut Creek bundling paper mail into boxes and sending it
off to the various FAQ authors. :-)

As to inclusion on CDROM principally: From what I understand of German
copyright law, it would be considered fair use if put there unaltered
and with attributions intact. No need to register it anywhere, and I could
forbid them to have it on, but having the FAQ on Usenet would indicate
implicit agreement to have it published elsewhere too, so I couldn't sue
for damages. (As they'd be acting in good faith.)
This just as another data point.

regards,
spz
