FAQ's and the real world (NOT THE FLAME WAR)

We now interrupt our regularly scheduled flame war because...

I just had a conversation with an AP writer doing a report on ergonomic
keyboards. Finally, it came down to describing my ftp site. Wheee! I
suppose I could have pointed him to other FAQ's, but what can he put in
his article?

Would you believe they finally standardized that e-mail is written without
quotes and with a lower-case 'e'? He said that was a big argument! Now,
how do they standardize descriptions of anonymous ftp sites? It will be
quite a few years before they can just publish a URL in the newspaper :-)

Also, I'm curious how many others of you have dealt with press people
with varying familiarity with the Net? This guy seemed pretty hip
(he got my FAQ via Pipeline -- a New York provider which has a pretty
Windows interface), which made my life easier.

P.S. I have no problems with Walnut Creek. My free CD-ROM will be here soon.
