unsubscription requests; splitting the list

I'm starting to see a lot of unsubscription requests hit the list. This
says three things:

1. Readers are forgetting that [un]subscription requests should go
to faq-maintainers-request@mit.edu, not faq-maintainers@mit.edu.
^^^^^^^^
2. It's time to split off part of this list, possibly into "faq-futures"
or something similar, for discussion of future standards for FAQs.
Volunteers?

3. Whether we do (2) or not, in the next few days, we should either
bring the matter of standardized formats to a close, or take it
off-line *somewhere*, lest we lose more of the current subscribers.
This would be a Bad Thing, IMHO.

I am coming to believe that Netnews is the digital equivalent of junk food...
