awever, inaicates tnat Doctors Withou^Frontiers^aFfenchOrganizationon of medical supplies to the besieged city last week. We have no confirmation that the supplies arrived.

2. The infrastructure of the city has been severelythe fighting. The Sarajevo and Belgrade press Indicateof th* city'* buildings have beer, damaged orpress reports also indicate that the city isand wat*r.

The food situation appears to be dire. Periodic radio reports from Sarajevo and Belgrade indicate that food stocks have been depleted and that the displaced people--and presumably at least somere near starvation. truck humanitarian convoy originating in Sarajevo failed to reach Gorazde onuly withons of relief supplies due to landmines in the road aboutilometers outsid* th* city. Equilibre--another Prench NGO--has also consideredonvoy, but has not yet tried. On the basis of UNHCR calculations elsewhere, we estimate thatGprazde may need aboutoons of food relief daily. ^

we have not seen information on how th* displaced people are being sheltered.eveals refugeein or near the city. Tb^reTore^wcTsT of these people probably are being sheltered in private homes or other buildings.
