Premier Adoula's position apparently continues

to improve as he keeps hisoff balance inof early cabinet changes. He still is keeping his own counsel on the subject, however, and it remains to be seenhe can satisfy all disparate elements and whether the new ministers can retain the votes of their followers. Hisdifficulty withwas demonstrated by the senate's unanimous passingecond timeesolution critical of bisersonal appearance by the premier.

In Katanga, the Belgian community ls becoming increasingly apprehensive. Advance elements of two more Congo Army battalions have arrived in South Katanga to Join the one already there. Minister Resident Ileo has decreed tbat henceforth all found wearing Katangan armywill be subject to arrest.
