Mr. McCone said that their people feel that public opinion inas pretty well united against sanctions against Cuba. Frei has said that his vote would costotes. McCone said they believed, however, that he can dis^fassociate himself from any responsibility for this action and hence they thought he was mBPggg&quurHfadag over-exaggerating

the consequences. Sec asked if he had said this publicly and McCone said he didn't know. McCone said they saw no reason why it woulderious effect. McCone said they would work out the Frei end of it.
