Source's unit seizedmerican Prisoners of War (POWs) in KONTUM Province, SVN, from March through. He saw and described two POWe he bad personally seen .captured in late May. rje did not know where the POWs were taken after his unit turned then'ovor to authorities from en upper echelon, but surmised that they would be interned either in NVN or in Western Highlands where herison camp was located.

commented that Regimentad capturedmerican soldiers after five engagements during March through6 in KONTUM Province, 5VP. Four soldiers were taken near National Route lkA in TU MA DONO Districtighland name for the area TOUKOURONG on the map). Three Americans were captured in DAC TO District. The remaining five were caught in May, three at TU MA DONG District and two in District GO.
Cadre leaders told tha Source's unit that three POWs wereray during the VC attackMA DONG Post. The soldiers were memberselief element of "US Airlift Division One" which had been flown into the area by helicopters after tho VC attacked the Post.
Source's company captured two US soldiers on or about1 May in District SO, KONTUM Province. NGOC LINH Mountain wa3 the only prominent reference point ln the District which Source remembered. The POWs wero also members of "US Airlift Division One". Source commented that both soldiers wore patches on their sleeves which resembled "the bladeword" and "an upside Source saw these two POWs. One POW was Caucasian and had brown hair. Souroe did not remember the oolor of his eyes. Hs was over six feet tall and weighed lessounds. had dark black hair, brown eyes, was over six feet tall and weighedounds. This soldier was wounded in his right arm and leg, butnjury was described as non-critical. Source said he heard that the majority of therisoners were wounded, but he did not know theof their injuries.
k. Source did not know the ultimate disposition of the captives. Unit policy prohibited their detaining prisoners for more than five days. The two POWs he saw were taken to He surmised that they wouldent from there either to NVN oretention camp in Militaryn the Western Highlands.
