Since the US atlack on the Iraqi Intelligence Service's headquarters onune, we have acquired additional information pertinent to Iraq's attempt to assassinate President Bush. The new information includes forensic evidence, intelligence reporting on the assassination plot itself and subsequent Iraqi terrorist activity, and reports regarding the impact of the US missile strike. None of the new information--which is outlinedCTC's earlierut some of it both strengthens the evidenciary base for assigning culpability to Saddam for the plot against Mr. Bush and suggests that Iraq will continue to target senior US officials. fyNF)

The FBI's sources later added lhat Uie IIS originally intended io use associates ol the suspects for the attacks bui canceled the plan because it feared that the Kuwait Security Service (KSS) had uncovered the plot.
