1. About5 Sourco saw. POW'e sitting unbound in the backeep approximately seven kilometers west of SON TaY City, Ho TaY Province, NVN, There was one escort armed guardriver. Both >OW's appeared to be aboutears of age, wore black aviation suits ond had light beards. Neither wore glasses, or had any distinguishing marks or scars. Both appeared to bo in good condition, but were obviously very sad.

2* The jeep stopped so the driver and guard couldrink of waterearby inn. Source who was attending the SON TAY officers' school was exercising on the school field when he met the driver and saw the rOW's and the guard.

3* Source approached them and waa told by the driver that the FOW's had Just been capturedAY Province and were being taken to HANOI City. Neither NVA or NVN civilians were normally allowed to. POW'e while in transit, because moat people in NVN hated the Americans very much for bombing NVN.
