OF

SECURITY INDOCTRINATION

I acknowledgeave been officially informed that the United States Government is engagedajor program of overheadof denied areas, utilizing aircraft and space vehicles as are appropriate to the circumstances.

I understand that this program is of vital importance to the national security and that official confirmation of the activity, under other than very carefully controlled circumstances, is precluded by national policy, despite any level of public speculation.

I have been advised that strict security has been applied to the program under policies prescribed by the Director of Central Intelligence. Procedures implemented under these policies involve two special systems of security control:

(1)

for protection of details related to research and development and operation of the reconnaissance equipments,ALENT/KEYHOLE, for protection of the intelligence products of the program and the fact of overhead reconnaissance as revealed therein.
