forces currently located in Czechoslovakia include0 men in three divisions, all of which were formerly located in tho Carpathian Military District', with supporting ground elements and aboutactical airoraft.

All other Soviet and East European ground forces which were involved ln the Czechoslovak intervention have left Czechoslovakia and have probably returned to their normal locations,et increase of three Soviet divisions in the forward area,

Atnd possibly as many- Soviet category II divisions in the western USSR border MDa wore brought to combat-ready status prior to the intervention. There is.no evidence that any substantial demobilization of these forces has yethere are nowoivisions (excluding airborne) lu the Western USSR.
