A certain amount of information was'available to us concerning Viaux's alleged support throughout the Chilean military. Wc had assessed Viaux'l claims carefully, basing our analysis on good intelligenceumber of sources. Our conclusion was clear: Viaux did not have more than one chance inerhapsDuccessful coup.
