Two foreign nationals, including one Lao Air America Air Freight Specialist and one Lao military, lostives ta this accident, la addition, rwo Lao national* were lulled when the* raa into the blade*elicopter which wirdivac operation.

Twelve of thencidents described above did nor. involve loaa ol life, serious injuries, or loss of aircraft. The two exception* are at follows:

a., crashedanding strip approximately IS kilometer* southeast of Long Cheng, Laosbe aircraft, carrying Uo military forcesorward position, wasormal landing approach when an obatruction was sighted on the runway. The piloto-around but ihe left engine Called to respond and tha aircraft's left wing conucted the ground causing the aircraft to pancake into the ground. The pUor and First Officer were seriously injured but beta arerecovermg satUlaccorUy. One Lao Air Freight Specialist and one Lao military passenger were killed. Fire Lao military personnel were seriously injured.as extensively damagedetermination of the aircraft's future airworthiness is in progress.
