_It is possible* however*that the Pakistanis could have detected some radioactivity even though India maintains that no increase incould be found even at the test site itself. The analytical capabilities of Pakistan to obtain useful information from the debris are unknown. Their primary aim, however, is to make this debris known publicly and thus gain support for their verbal attack against India. If it can be proven that debris actually crossed the border into Pakistan, then India could be considered to havethe Limited TestJSan Treaty to which itignatory.
