Also attending were two representatives from the National Security Agency, OIG, and Chairman" Leach's Chief of Staff. Chairman Leach had written to the Director of Central Intelligence toriefing from this Office relating to media allegations of money laundering in Mena, Arkansas; the use of PROMIS software in computers to monitor bank accounts; account transactions and to collect economicintelligence; and other related issues.
2. AccordingLeach appeared
satisfied with the an wers ne received from the attendees and did not ask this Office to conduct any inquiries or provide additional information on the matters discussed. Consequently, OIG does not plan to take any further action on the questions raised by Chairman Leach. This information may be communicated to Chairman Leach,equest that any such cornmunication be coordinated with this office.
