Continued Strains Over Konovo

Belgrade's nervousness over the danger of major new disturbances occurring in the provinco is evident from the harsh denunicationa of "Albanian irredontism" and "greater Albanian chauvinism" leveled by top Yugoslav officials over the past several days. Rumors of guerrilla actions by Albanian nationalists against Yugoslav Army units in Kosovo cannot be substantiated, but Yugoslav authorities admit there is continuing "hostile" activity in the region and new arrests have been reported.
