Dear Ms. Greenfield:

A WASHINGTON POST editorial onpril proposed, inter alia, that persons who without their consent became subjects of CIA psychiatric and drug testing programs duringhould be traced and compensated.

Had the POST the professionalism to check its facts with the Agency before writing Its editorial, it would have learned that the Agency maoe an intensive effort ino identify and contact any persons who might have been unwitting subjects of drug testing programs in which the Agency had been involved. Indeed, on pagef the Supreme Court's decision on CIA vs. Sims (the decision which prompted the POST'She courtootnote referred to the Agency's efforts in this regard while Admiral Stansfleld Turner was Director of Central Intelligence.
