Kr Henry B. Hyde, Station

X. ather disappointing conversation withan unable to cone to any definite conclustion regarding our original suspicion that he had been turned. There are curious blanks in his story, particularly in the details of his setting up the radio station and in her node of operation. The version he gives of hie parting with her also would seen to bear further

would reconaend very strongly that he behorough, ininterrogation on his operational history frea start topartloulary attention to the periods during which his fabrication, were

he turned would be nost complete, that is to say during the attonpted radio contact when there would certainly have been Oeraan counter-OBplonageon the scene, and during the period immediately before his return to thie side of the lines when ho would have been under strict surveillance for the enemy briefing.

There is one great inconslatency in the theory that ha has been turned. Ho counter-espionage unit would have missed the chance to make radio contact to this side unless the operator had been made unavailable and they wore afraidtory of substitution would bo too weak to stand.

What ever his reasons are, it Is obvious that he is not telling the complete story of what went on behind the lines. The appearance of his new lady friend might provide another lead to the true story if he can Be mado

to give the exact details of how he found hor. ould bo extremely grateful if you could provide oeopy of ths operational story as soon as it is made.
