Comment: Fighting may be prolonged. The invaders are unlikely to reach Kigali. Rwigyema's stated goal, without additional troops and supplies; Rwandan forces probably cannot defeat the exiles without external assistance. Belgium is likely to commit its troops. Dealing with the invasion and the resulting ethnic hostility will lest President Habyanmana's beleaguered regime and may tempi disaffected^ elements within ibe Rwandan military to move against him.
