Dear Allen1

I imagine that you are very busy and trust that you have my letter ofh, resume that when you would like to see ma you will call nehall immediately go to Washington.

I am enclosinghotostat of French Foreign Minister Bidault's letter to Edouard Herriot which the latter sent me.

t understand that Bidault requested an opinion from the French Ambassador in Washingtono not know, and who does not know anything about me. elieve that, eventually the French Legion d'Honnsur could contribute something to my standing and make me less vulnerable in case my services are officially used by tha united State Authorities. I, therefore, think that If you or somebody from the State Department speaks to Bonnet in tha French Embassy, it will settle this question. Would you object to it?

With my warmest regards.

m/lf end.
