Confirming our convocations of yoatorday and thism submitting to youetailed report of the statements and answers of Poret, the Fruit Caapany employee who escaped from Guatemala on or aboutay, bearing with hla the story of the above-mentioned ams-burial plot. Tou are aware of the exploitation of this information which has already been made. We are considering the further exploitation of tho more detailed information which we now have and your thoughts and those of Assistant Secretary Holland are urgently roqueated.

It has occurred to us that if it Is possible to provide anymount of authentication, it aright be tbe doeire of the Department to - ake use of this lnforniation about this plotart ofgainst Guatemala which is being prepared. It has further occurred | to us that If this should be deemed by the Department to be the best use of the material, careful consideration should be given to the desirability of further exploitation of thla material for near tera or Interim propaganda purposes. Please also let us have your views on these two points.
