1. In responso to DCI's question as to tho use rode of such documents, the following recapitulation is respectfully submitted.

2* QIR (Departnent of State) has completed itn rcaearch of the documents and within the next feweneral report summarizing tho decado of communist subversion in Guatemala will be published. OIR advises thatage document will provide general background on what transpired in Guatemala during the last ton years with particular attention to the last four years when communist activityeak of organization. The purposo of this study is to answer tho primary question of how coanrunlsm can) about in Guatemala.

3. Upon completion of this publication, OIR will commence preparationeries of tables specifically utilising the documents taken in Guatemala as examples which demonstrate the specific aspects of the cosBRmlst take-over in all fields of Guatemalan government and society.
