A man travels to Isla Negra, Chile, where the poet Pablo Neruda used to live. Neruda designed the house himself, although he also had other houses around the world. The author speculates about what Neruda's life may have been like on Isla Negra. Isla Negra is a pilgrimage point for admirers of the poet.
