The influence of electronic transmission on written communication

Article Abstract:

A survey of business professionals and academics shows how individuals react differently when communicating through different media. The study assesses the effects of electronic transmission of text-based communication upon the perceptions of its recipients. The primary purpose of the study is to identify the factors that influence the effectiveness of electronically transmitted messages, including messages sent by electronic mail, messages posted on electronic bulletin boards and messages used in electronic conferencing.
