When your father won't get off your backhand

Article Abstract:

Mary Pierce would have been number 13 seed at Wimbledon tennis but she withdrew because her father had punched someone at the French Open and was removed from her match for shouting. The Women's Tennis Council banned him from all subsequent events on the 1993 women's tour. He had not been banned previously as the Women's Tennis Association felt it was a family affair.
