Article Abstract:
The water-borne pathogen hypothesis is reexamined using archived satellite images and further investigations were done to find out whether mechanisms also account for the dissemination pattern in some areas. The results from these studies demonstrate the potential of satellite images for use in determining connectivity between regions of the Caribbean and in detecting changes in coral reef cover.

Article Abstract:
Dams disrupt the survivability of native fauna in the Caribbean region, which impacts other environmental processes. Research shows that invasion of exotics is inversely related to species richness and abundance of native fauna. Dams with spillways had small populations of upstream native shrimp and fish fauna, while dams without spillways or other discharge had no such populations.

Article Abstract:
Research presented concerns the effects of scuba diving on coral and fish populations in the Caribbean. The relationship of diving to shifting patterns of dominance between branching and massive corals is discussed, along with little or no impact on fish communities.
