Article Abstract:
Multiparameter cell sorting and limiting dilution transplant analysis is used to demonstrate the purification of a rare subset of adult mouse mammary cells that are able individually to regenerate an entire mammary gland within 6 weeks in vivo, while simultaneously executing upto 10 symmetrical self-renewal divisions. These mammary stem cells are phenotypically distinct from and give rise to mammary epithelial progenitor cells that produce adherent colonies in vitro.

Article Abstract:
It is reported that at least developmentally, most dental characters may be nonindependent, and investigation is done on how three different levels of the cell signalling protein ectodysplasin (Eda) changed dental characters in mouse. It is found that with increasing expression levels of this one gene, the number of cusps increases, cusp shapes and positions change, longitudinal crests form, and number of teeth increases.

Article Abstract:
Morphine was administered to dopamine-deficient mice to test the hypothesis that dopamine is an essential mediator of many behavioral responses. It is found that though dopamine is a critical component of morphine-induced locomotion and modulates pain sensitivity, it is not required for mice to learn a conditional association for morphine.
