Internal motions of a quasiparticle governing its ultrafast nonlinear response

Article Abstract:

A high electric field in the tetrahertz range motivates the polaron in a GaAs crystal into a highly nonlinear area. The analysis indicated the quantum-kinetic character of the nonlinear polaron response which directly influences high-frequency transport on nanometer length scales and the impulsive generation of coherent excitations with customized external areas like phase-shaped tetrahertz pulses, can lead to optical modulation and switching in the femtosecond time domain.

Flight of the qubit

Article Abstract:

The system of array of ions trapped and controlled inside an electric field is becoming a communication link in a quantum network. It involves the ion and photon, which are entangled, as the photon carries away information on the state of the ion.

Water doesn't mind the gap

Article Abstract:

Researchers have managed to create a water bridge between two regular glass beakers in a gravity-defying stunt. They are speculating that the denser water coalesces into microstructures that strengthen the bridge.
