Article Abstract:
Research indicates that the impact of ultraviolet-B radiation exposure may not manifest until later stages of development, which could affect long-term success of species. In studies using plains leopard frogs, no differences were noted in embryo hatching success between exposed and unexposed groups, but tadpole growth and development occurred more slowly in UV-B exposed specimens.

Article Abstract:
Ultraviolet B radiation exposure on wood frog populations was found to increase deformity rates and larval mortality. The latter was especially significant among populations exhibiting low genetic diversity. Findings indicate that UV-B radiation contributes to amphibian decline.
