Article Abstract:
The nucleolus is the main organelle which correlates the mixture and the meeting of ribosomal subunits and appears in the nucleus surrounded by the repetitive gene clusters. A quantitative analysis of the proteome of human nucleoli is performed using mass-spectrometry-based organellar proteometics and stable isotope labelling.

Article Abstract:
It is shown that Ca(super2)+ is released from the vacuolar lumen after the docking step is completed. Calmodulin is identified as the putative Ca(super2)+ sensor and as the first component need in post-docking stages. It binds tightly to vacuoles but does not act as a fusion clamp, but promotes bilayer mixing. It is suggested that Ca(super2)+ control in membrane fusion may be a conserved feature.
