Research is presented concerning the embryonic development of the heart. The study of normal and abnormal heart development in Zebrafish has centered around the identification of mutations which cause abnormal heart development.

Research is presented concerning the mutation rates of the Y-linked genes and the X-linked genes in hominoids. The similarity in the mutation of human female and male genes is discussed.
