Breeding birds as a farm product

Article Abstract:

Breeding birds as a farm product is discussed based on study of the possibilities for conserving meadowbirds on modern, intensive diary farms in the Netherlands, on which meadowbird populations have been under increasing threat. Breeding success was compared, farms where farmers were paid for meadowbird clutches vs farms where farmers were not paid, and results were encouraging, with farmers enthusiastic.
