Antimatter matters

Article Abstract:

Experiments studying the decays of particles called B mesons are casting light on the behaviour of matter and antimatter at the particle level. The balance between matter and anti-matter is considered as an issue, as Paul Dirac pointed out that the existence of antimatter is an unavoidable consequence of combining the theories of relativity and quantum mechanics.

Beyond the standard model with the LHC

Article Abstract:

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is capable of exploring the inner strcuture of matter, explaining the origin, as well as the properties of all the particles masses appropriately. LHC is also expected to explore the various issues of cosmology and the physics beyond the standard model.
