Article Abstract:
The N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor-dependent redistribution of proteasomes from dendritic shafts to synaptic spines upon synaptic stimulation is reported providing a mechanism for local protein degradation. Proteasome sequestration is persistent, reflecting an association with actin-based cytoskeleton, and it is indicated that synaptic activity can promote the recruitment and sequestration of proteasomes to locally remodel the protein composition of synapses.

Article Abstract:
The mechanism of cross presentation in which peptides derived from phagocytosed antigens presented to CD8+ T lymphocytes on major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules are described. Phagosome fusion with endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and furthur reaction is explained.
