Article Abstract:
British born and bred, Jo Wreford who is a doctor of social anthropology has found a way to reconcile and build bridges of trust between doctors and sangomas, locally known as traditional healers. Wreford believes that both traditional healers and doctors play vital roles in healing the majority of AIDS-afflicted South Africans and wants to see them working harmoniously side by side as sangomas, working on a spiritual level, which is an essential part of the African healing process that Western medicine does not address.

Article Abstract:
The integral inner-nuclear-envelope protein, emerin, is necessary for human immunodeficiency type 1 (HIV-1) infection. The barrier-to-autointegration factor (BAF), the LEM (LAP, emerin, MAN) binding partner of emerin, is required for the association of viral cDNA with emerin and for the ability of emerin to support virus infection and hence emerin might be necessary for chromatic engagement by viral cDNA before integration.
