Article Abstract:
The object 1996TL66, which was discovered as part of a large-area, medium-depth survey of the outer Solar System, seems to be representative of a group of scattered bodies situated between the Kuiper belt and the Oort cloud. Its discovery appears to indicate that the Kuiper belt goes considerably beyond the 30-50 AU region which has been the focus of earlier research work. It is likely that the Kuiper-belt objects have, together, a considerable mass.

Article Abstract:
The discovery of 1992 QB1, a candidate member of the Kuiper belt, is reported. The Kuiper belt is a hypothesized population of objects beyond the planet Neptune which could be a possible source of short-period comets found closer to the sun. The discovery lends credence to the hypothesis that there is only apparent emptiness in the outer Solar System, as objects in the region are too faint for to be observed.

Article Abstract:
The study reported that near-infrared observations of the large Kuiper belt object Quaoar, which reveal the presence of crystalline water ice and ammonia hydrate. It concluded that Quaoar is been resurfaced, either by impact exposure of buried ices or by cryovolcanic outgassing, or by a combination of these processes.
