Article Abstract:
Several techniques can be used to photograph zoo animals successfully and compellingly. These include capturing direct eye contact with the subject, positioning the camera at the same level as the animal, using a close-up range, depicting two separate items or areas within a single frame and playing up unusual coloring or patterns. Patience and the proper equipment are also helpful, along with learning the subjects' habits.
