Article Abstract:

The anniversarial commemorations in 1995 will include important scientific events such as the discovery of X-rays, the widespread occurrence of syphilis and the calculation of the position of Neptune. Some of the important discoveries are discussed. In 1895, X-rays were discovered by Wilhelm Konrad von Rontgen. The position of Neptune was determined in 1845 by John Couch Adams and Urbain Leverrier.
