The new Mercer Hotel, which have yet to open, has already attracted numerous celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio. Mercer Hotel owner Andre Balazs bought a Romanesque revival building in Mercer Street in 1989 and has since hired the best interior designers to transform it into a posh hotel.
