Advice on and a personal account of finding quiet areas in Alaska in which to fish. It is noted that while certain areas are always going to be busy with anglers at certain times of the year, it is possible for a fisherman, if he is prepared to change his aims and plans, to find a quiet, secluded area in which to fish.

A personal account of fishing for cutthroat trout in Wilson Lake, Alaska, in 1935. Reaching the lake was achieved by means of a plane piloted by Bob Ellis, founder of Ellis Air Transport, and the amount caught by the fishermen illustrates a bygone era when concerns about bag limits did not have to dealt with.
