Many doctors in the United States have started to incorporate alternative therapies like acupuncture, yoga and herbal remedies in their traditional practices for treating their patients. Integrative or complementary medicine focuses on preventive measures that may help in alleviating the health care crisis in the U.S. and also assist in reducing medicine's impending financial crisis by offering less costly treatments.
