Airbus Industrie is developing a passenger jet capable of a cruising speed of 600 miles per hour and a passenger capacity of 550 people, depending on the final design layout selected by individual airlines. It has presold the A380 to several airlines, even though the only version of the plane that exists is a wooden mock-up. The design of the plane is described and compared with other jumbo jets.

USAir flight 427: no end of a lesson
Article Abstract:
The mystery behind the crash for USAir Flight 427 on Sep. 8, 1994 which killed one hundred and thirty-two people has remained unsolved. However, the investigation has yielded findings that flight-recorder technologies used by US airlines are obsolete.
