Pony tale: the wild horses of Assateague

Article Abstract:

The Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia is home to a herd of wild horses, which by law must number no more than 150. Each year excess horses are brought to Chincoteague for a festival called Pony Penning Days, where they are sold in an auction to benefit the volunteer fire company.

The outside air pressure exerts pressure on the eardrum when one is flying and can cause pain and temporary hearing loss, especially if you have a cold or ear infection. People with colds should avoid flying if possible. Precautions you can take to protect your ears in flight are described.

Panama City Beach has been heralded by travel guides as Florida's most popular spot and one of the country's best beaches. However, swimmers should be cautious of its rip currents which have claimed many lives. Rip currents are rampant in Florida.
