Stressed-out lives of elms on the Mall

Article Abstract:

The survival of American elms on the Mall is being threatened by suboptimal soil conditions, the Dutch elm disease and human activities. It is hoped that monitoring efforts by the National Park Service will make life easier for these beneficial trees.
