The nonprofit group Sustainable Travel International (STI) launches its Sustainable Tourism Eco-certification Program (STEP) by targeting companies based in the United States after they found that most of them boosted eco-friendly environment with out any global certificate. The governments, businesses, NGOs, communities, and other stakeholders need to agree on a common standard and global mechanism tourism practices to prove their genuineness.
