My little chickadee

Article Abstract:

Chickadees have learned to adapt to the frigid winters of Alaska. Chickadees repeatedly flap their wings to generate heat while their feathers provide good insulation. Chickadees increase about 10% to their body weight to be burned at night while sleeping.
